Lineshaft conveyor is ideal for minimizing back pressure while transporting products. Lineshaft style used conveyor has a driveshaft that runs the length of the conveyor. This powers the rollers individually using belts. The drive shaft of the used conveyor is powered by a motor that can move products both forwards and backwards. Because each of the rollers are powered individually, lineshaft conveyor is ideal for minimum accumulation operations. It is also used in diverting and converging operations. Since each of the rollers are individually secured, used lineshaft conveyors tend to run very quietly. This is because the rollers are tightly kept in place, so there is no rattling or vibrating.
