Used Dock Levelers

Dock levelers connect the difference in distance and height between the warehouse floor and truck or trailer. These help to speed up loading and unloading trucks of varying heights. By adjusting the height of your existing loading dock to the height of a truck with a used dock leveler, workers will be able to slide products onto the leveler. This reduces employee fatigue and the risk of injury. Businesses will see an improvement in productivity and streamlined operations.

Used dock levelers at ASI have a capacity of up to 20,000 lbs. and are lifted and lowered hydraulically. All used dock equipment is tested and inspected prior to shipment to ensure we are providing you with a quality used product.

Dock levelers are used when your facility’s loading docks are close to the same height as the floor of the truck. They are used to bridge the gap between the dock and the trailer during loading and unloading. The trailers are not always the same height so the dock leveler moves up or down to accommodate. This allows for forklifts to smoothly transport products in and out of trailers.

Dock levelers, also known as pit levelers, are typically recessed style, meaning they are contained within the recess beneath the dock door and the floor surface. They are typically rated for higher capacities than dock plates and on par with dock boards. Call ASI today; we can help you determine which type of used dock equipment is right for your specific application.

What is the difference between buying new or used dock levelers? Used dock levelers will save you a lot of money but will also contain surface wear. This is nothing to be concerned about because a new dock leveler will have that same wear after being used a few times. It does not compromise the factory rated capacity of the equipment.

Would we recommend buying used? ASI got into the business of selling used equipment to save people money while still providing them with top quality used material handling equipment. We would highly recommend buying used dock equipment. Just make sure you are buying from a trustworthy source that will inspect their used equipment to ensure quality prior to shipment.
