Standard beam ends are made from extra heavy gauge steel, featuring a three-prong connection which assures positive beam-to-post alignment as well as uniform load distribution. Tabs extend along the face of the beam and provide extra protection to the prongs during transit and installation. A unique recessed safety key made from heavy gauge steel engages a slot in the side of the post, resisting upward forces from material handling equipment such as forklifts up to 1,000 pounds.
