Open shelving means that all sides of the shelving bay are open for unobstructed viewing of the books or publications stored, and materials can be accessed from both the front and back. While open shelving sides and backs are open, sway braces can restrict product removal.. In any one row of open library shelving bays, bracing can be installed to minimize brace obstructions. Our used library shelving is very versatile and the most economical. Bolt on sway braces are easily installed with minimum amount of labor. Used Clip shelving can be easily moved to accommodate various size books and periodicals. Library shelving can be mounted directly to a wall, in order to minimize the storage area. Upper shelving levels can be accessed with a used rolling ladder.
