Used Pallet Rack

Probably the most popular pallet storage system is Used Selective Pallet rack. Selective pallet rack provides easy single-deep forklift accessibility which allows for an efficient (FIFO OR LIFO) inventory control system.

A rack bay consists of two vertical uprights connected with two or more pairs of load supporting beams. Systems can be 1 fee-standing-bay or connected to several additional bays to form a row. Used Selective Pallet rack systems can be designed to include single and double rows.  Used pallet rack can be designed to hold a full range of load weights up to 10,000 lbs per beam level. Used pallet rack frames and support beams are available from stock in many different sizes, colors and brands. Our extensive inventory includes brands such as, Frazier, Burtman, Mecalux, and Unarco.

Used teardrop rack is the most common pallet rack in use today. The teardrop system of frame and beam connection facilitates the addition of added beam levels and added bays. Used teardrop pallet rack is adjustable in two inch intervals. The beams slide into place using a patented boltless design allowing for quick and easy assembly or dismantling. ASI stocks the most popular brands of Used teardrop rack; Interlake, Mecalux, Kingway, UPS, Unarco, Cardinal and Husky along with many others.

USED PALLET RACK INSTALLATION OR DISASSEMBLY SERVICES

Double-deep or two-deep rack system design is similar to a standard rack system except a second frame and beam is positioned behind the first to allow loading of a second pallet load deeper into the system behind the front pallet load. Used double deep rack systems require the use of a vehicle with a reach attachment for placing and removing pallet loads in both the front and rear positions.

Drive-in rack systems are configured for high-density (LIFO) storage for large volumes of similar pallet loads. The rack system utilizes upright frames, columns, braces and rails designed to support multiple loads positioned up to 10 deep. Usually the taller loads are positioned on the floor. Typically these systems are designed with 2-3 levels above the floor position. The system is designed to meet pallet/load size to be safely positioned on top of the level rails. Forklifts travel down the lane with the pallet load raised to available storage level height. Loads are deposited in the last position each level with subsequent loads deposited next until all positions all levels are filed. Systems are designed with lanes and aisles wide enough to facilitate the loading process.

Drive-through rack systems (LIFO, FIFO) are designed similar to drive-in systems except Drive-through systems can be accessed from both the front and rear sides. Used Drive-through designs are configured with the same components excluding the back braces. Because the systems can’t be placed back to back, the load accessibility is poor in comparison to the Drive- in system.

Gravity flow or flow-through rack systems are loaded from the rear and unloaded from the front. Used pallet rack are configured similar to other pallet rack systems except the pallets are positioned on gravity rollers or skatewheel conveyor in the rear or loading position and are moved to the front or unloading position by gravity as the pallet in the front position is unloaded and removed. Braking systems internal to the conveyor allow the pallets to flow into position at a controlled speed.
