American Surplus opened for business in 1992 in a 6000sf rented space in Norwood, Mass. Early on the new material handling company lacked all the ingredients to prosper except the desire to get the next order filled and delivered to our small but growing family of customers. That family did grow so fast that we needed more space to match our customers’ needs. That growth is continuing today in our current 530,000sf location in East Providence, RI. Our family of customers has also grown from just a few to many thousands. Why? Because we do what needs to be done in the time our customers need the job to be completed at the right price. Weekends, nights, whatever is needed to make the job a success. That’s why. We call it a Win-Win for us and our customers.
